The Mr Brightside story

 

Eventhough the song Mr. Brightside was THE song of our generation.

This is what Mr Brightside means to us:  

  • Optimistic, enjoy the moment, always look on the Brightside of life. 

  • We with our west facing bar and floor plan are the last bar in town to enjoy the sun. In Christchurch Summer, this can be as late as 10pm!

Opening in summer 2020, Mr Brightside has been the best at serving sunny drinks and attitudes!

We come from strong hospitality backgrounds

From starting in kitchen sinks and working up through the channels to eventually opening a venue. This has been a 17 year journey!

We strive to be a bar with an elevated bar food offering. We really want our customers to feel like they experience restaurant quality service and hospitality with a relaxed atmosphere and good times, no matter the time of day!

We are known for our Wagyu Beef Burgers and Bluff Oysters - available in five different ways!

We take bartending seriously, and have a very busy bar! We take pride in training our team to be some of the best in christchurch.
